Who we are

Gerrytours & Safaris Rwanda is a registered Luxury Tour Company in the Republic of Rwanda.

The following terms and conditions of business apply to all Gerrytours & Safaris trips. Receipt of the deposit indicates formal understanding and acceptance of our terms and conditions of business.

Booking a Safari with Gerry Tours & Safaris

Gerrytours & Safaris will provide a full quotation without any financial obligation on the agent's part, prior to a firm booking arrangement. All quotations issued by Gerrytours & Safaris will remain valid for a period of thirty days.

The minimum duration of any safari booked with Gerrytours & Safaris will be 2 nights

Payment Procedure

Upon confirmation, 50% of the total cost payable. The balance of 50%, 60 days prior to the commencement of your trip. At the time of confirmation, if your departure date is less than 60 days, then the total cost shall be paid..

Cancellation policy

Any changes in travel arrangement must be communicated to Gerrytours-safaris Rwanda immediately. We are ready to offer alternatives that may fit your needs or cancel that booking as a whole. We reserve the right to charge cancellation fees that may be incurred by failure to allow us sufficient time to amend the arrangements originally requested.

Additional cost for changes of arrangements shall be borne by the client. The cancellation policy below applies to all packages designed & operated by Gerrytours-safaris Rwanda: We are not liable to refund you if it does not fall into our guidelines.

  1. Up to 75 days prior to your arrival, 25% of the total cost will be forfeited as cancellation fees.
  2. Should cancellation be received in less than 75 days prior to your arrival, 50% of the total cost would be levied as cancellation charge.
  3. Cancellation received in less than 60 days prior to your arrival would attract 100% of total paid as cancellation fee.
  4. Payment for Gorilla Permits is non refundable.

Code of Conduct

On the tour that is provided by Gerrytours-safaris Rwanda, you are expected to abide by the law of the land and adhere to the instructions provided by the personnel in charge. Paying a deposit of the booking means that you agree with any rules presented before you. If at any point during the trip, the personnel in charge believes your behavior is detrimental to your safety or well-being or even the well-being of your group, you might be instructed to leave the tour and no refund will be available.

Insurance

It is a condition of booking that the sole responsibility lies with the guest to ensure that they carry the correct comprehensive travel and medical insurance to cover themselves, as well as any dependents and traveling companions for the duration of their tour to Rwanda. This insurance should include coverage in
respect of, but not limited to, the following eventualities: cancellation or curtailment of the safari, emergency evacuation expenses, medical expenses, repatriation expenses, damage, theft or loss of personal baggage, money and goods.

Medical Information

Participation on a safari or tour to Rwanda requires that you be generally in good health. All guests must understand that a high level of fitness is required for Gorilla trekking, a measure of physical activity is involved.

It is essential that persons with any medical problems and/or related dietary restrictions make them known to us well before departure. Anti-malaria precautions should be taken, and these are the sole responsibility of the client. Any required inoculations must be recorded by the client’s health practitioner on a valid vaccination certificate, which the client must carry in his/her possession throughout the tour.

Risk

Gerrytours-safaris Rwanda is the provider of adventurous travel, but it is all the risk of the traveler, Gerrytours-safaris Rwanda is not responsible for any unforeseen accidents that happen on the expedition. We encourage all travelers to arrange for travel insurance before departure as no costs will be borne by
Gerrytours-safaris Rwanda.

Age

Gerrytours-safaris Rwanda does not accept any consent from an individual below the age of 18 years. We also recommend that before travel, the traveler checks if the activities are age appropriate. For example: In Volcano National Park, Gorilla Trekking is not available for those below the age of 15 years and for Golden Monkey, you have to be above 10 years. No age restriction for Akagera National Park.

Force Majeure

Force Majeure is any unforeseeable circumstances that may interfere with the traveler's trip. These are conditions such as adverse weather, fire at the game reserve, boat unavailability and hotel overbooking.
Each traveler's itinerary will indicate what is included in the total cost of the package.
